The Impact of Improved Silty Soil on Subgrade Settlement
This study focuses on the G104 Jingfu Line reconstruction project from the Jinan-Dezhou border to Daqiao Town, examining the effects of lime and wood ash as stabilizers on the physical and mechanical properties of silty soil subgrade.Through laboratory tests, the improvement effects of single and combined stabilizers on silty soil were analyzed, and the post-construction and load-induced settlements of the subgrade were simulated using software. The research found that the combined use of lime and wood ash significantly reduces the maximum dry density and increases the optimum moisture content, demonstrating superior performance in reducing sub-grade settlement. The results indicate that, without considering economic benefits, the improvement effect of stone wood ash dual admix-ture is better than that of single admixture; The difference in the control effect of settlement between the single mixing measure with a lime content of 2%and the double mixing measure with a lime content of 2%and a grass ash content of 15%is not significant. In or-der to reduce construction costs,2%lime is preferred for improving silty soil in practical engineering.
