Influence of Tunnel Construction on the Upper Existing Frame Buildings
The design and construction of tunnels is a difficult task in areas with many overlying buildings and dense population.Due to the constraints of construction conditions and economic factors,it is inevitable that tunnels have to pass underneath the existing build-ings,so it is of practical value to analyse the impacts of tunnel construction on the overlying buildings.Through the simulation of tunnel construction by finite element software, the axial force, horizontal deformation of the frame structure and vertical deformation of the pile foundation of the frame structure are analysed after the tunnel construction to determine the impact of tunnel construction on the upper frame structure. The results show that:(1)Tunnel excavation causes settlement deformation of the pile foundation of the building, and the settlement deformation is not uniform;(2)Tunnel excavation increases the axial force of the frame columns, but it has a greater effect on the side columns and a smaller effect on the centre columns.(3)Tunneling causes horizontal displacement of the building, and the horizontal displacement of the higher floors is greater than that of the lower floors.
