In order to accurately measure the influence of the internal contact of the parallel strand cable on the cable force,the study analyzes the cross-sectional characteristics and the mechanical relationship of the cable,and the different influence mechanisms of the internal contact.In order to avoid the rust of the steel strand,the study adopts the protective measures of HDPE pipe on the cable,and conducts the relevant tests.The experimental results show that the self-weight of HDPE pipe is an important influencing factor of cable.When the HDPE pipe is in contact with the cable,the vibration behavior of the cable shows integrity and independence,resulting in the coupling of the vibration of each part,and the coupled vibration is consistent,which provides a theoretical basis for measuring the total cable force by the vibration frequency method.However,in the non-contact area,the measured frequency is not the true frequency of the cable.Therefore,for unconventional parallel steel strand cables,when the contact coupling between HDPE pipe and cable strands is not intact,the measured frequency error exceeds the specification requirements and cannot be ignored.By applying the correction formula to calculate the cable force,it can meet the engineering needs and improve the calculation accuracy of the cable force.
