In order to know the current situation of adult tobacco use in Banan District,Chongqing City in 2022,the study analyzes relevant influencing factors;provides scientific basis for the effective formulation and improvement of tobacco control strategies or policies;investigates the research objects in Banan District,Chongqing City by combining multi-stage stratification cluster random sampling method,PPS sampling survey method and simple random sampling method;and conducts statistics on demographic characteristics,smoking rate,smoking cessation rate,e-cigarette awareness rate,and non-smokers second hand smoke exposure rate,etc.The results of the investigation show that the smoking rate of residents in Banan District is 19.35%,and the difference between different genders is statistically significant.Gender is the main influencing factor of the smoking rate of residents in Banan District.The second hand smoke exposure rate of non-smokers is 34.67%,and the differences between different ages,education levels and urban and rural areas are statistically significant.Both the smoking rate and the second hand smoke exposure rate of non-smokers are significantly lower than the monitoring indicators in 2020 and the national average.The smoking cessation rate and the awareness rate of e-cigarette are 24.38%and 39.8%,respectively.There are statistically significant differences in the awareness rate of e-cigarette among respondents of different ages and education levels.Therefore,it is suggested to promote publicity,perfect related law and regulations,and improve smoking cessation service system,so as to make residents more effectively conrol smoking.
