The accumulation of scale will seriously affect the safety and stable operation of the boiler,especially the potential difference between the metal surface and the copper scale and iron scale deposits will cause local corrosion of the metal and metal perforation or explosion,which is a serious safety hazard in the use of the boiler.Therefore,it is necessary to detect and analyze the copper and iron content in boiler feed water regularly.In order to find a quick method for the determination of trace copper and iron content in boiler feed water,second-order differential flame emission spectrometry is applied to determine the content of copper and iron in boiler feed water.The accuracy,applicability and effectiveness of the method are verified by testing the detection limit,accuracy,precision and recovery rate under the optimal test conditions.It is a simple,rapid and efficient method.
