The species morphology of Phrynocephalus is small,and the habitat overlap is high.So it is often difficult to distinguish.In order to distinguish the two common Phrynocephalus in Alashan Area,the study explores the artificial breeding and breeding of Phrynocephalus,and further protects and develops the use of small reptiles in desert areas,takes two kinds of Phrynocephalus in Alashan Area as research objects,summarizes their basic morphological differences,determines body indexes,and proposes indoor breeding methods.The results show that there are obvious differences in basic morphology between the two species of Phrynocephalus,and the size of P.przewalskii is significantly larger than that of P.frontalis.The body color of the grassland sand lizard is earth gray,and the desert sand lizard is brown yellow.It is necessary to provide suitable sandy environment for sand lizards to be kept indoors,supplemented by heating day lamps and UVB ultraviolet lamps,and fed with yellow mealworms and crickets as the main food,and occasionally fed other insects as nutritional supplement.
