The study investigates the application of participatory teaching mode in ideological and political education of college English courses and its potential influence on teaching effect with questionnaire survey.The results of the questionnaire survey on college students in Shaanxi Province show that most students'overall evaluation of ideology and politics in college English courses is at a lower than average level.Correlation analysis show that there is significant positive correlation between college students'learning experience,knowledge acquisition,curriculum implementation effect,students'values and achievement evaluation dimensions.The study randomly divides the two classes into experimental group and control group.The experimental group conducts the participatory teaching mode,while the control group conducts the traditional teacher-led teaching mode.After intervention experiment,the scores of the experimental group are significantly higher than those of the control group,indicating that the teaching effect of participatory teaching mode is better.Based on this,colleges and universities should actively adopt the participatory mode of college English ideological and political teaching.Teachers should design diversified participation activities and give timely feedback to students to help them better understand and solve problems.
