Under the background of high-quality urban development and population aging,the aging landscape of small scale green space,which is closely related to improving the quality of life,needs to be updated urgently.As a kind of park with high space utilization rate,high accessibility and large number in the city,residential pocket park is popular among the elderly.Through taking some residential pocket parks in Nanchang City as an example,the study analyzes public space and public life of residential pocket parks with the PSPL.The results show that the elderly visit the pocket park more frequently,and tend to carry out a variety of social activities.Most of the elderly are most satisfied with the comfort of the public space in the pocket park.The study proposes optimization strategies from the improvement of spatial quality,the promotion of surrounding environment and enrichment of social participation,to provide reference for improving the overall quality and spatial vitality of Nanchang pocket park and meeting the recreation needs of the elderly.
