Farmers'livelihoods and the digital economy play an important role in promoting farmers'employment and promoting new progress in rural revitalization. The study divides the livelihood strategies of farmers into two categories:part-time farming and pure farming with K-means cluster analysis, measures the digital economy index of each province with principal component analysis, and constructs a binary selection model to explore the impact of digital economy on the livelihood strategies of farmers. The results show that when individual, family and regional factors are controlled, the probability of farmers in regions with high digital economy index engaging in part-time employment increases significantly by 45.7%than that in regions with low digital economy index, indicating that regions with high digital economy index can provide farmers with more part-time employment opportunities and promote diversification of livelihood strategies.Based on this,it is suggested to strengthen the Internet training of farmers, improve the education level of farmers, and optimize the construction of rural digital economy.
