The study uses the ground flash data of Lalin Railway from 2016 to 2020.Statistical analysis shows that the negative ground flash along the railway accounts for 89%of the total ground flash number,which plays a dominant role.The monthly variation of total and negative geostromia is mainly concentrated from June to September,while the monthly variation of positive geostromia is from April to September,and positive geostromia is relatively active in winter and spring.The daily variation of ground flash activity along the railway is mainly concentrated from 15:00 to 21:00(Beijing time),which has a certain relationship with the afternoon heating effect on the plateau.Most of Lhasa and the northern part of Shannan have high values of ground flash density,and most of Nyingchi has low values of ground flash density.So it is necessary to promote the lightning protection measures in the high values.Statistics show that the cumulative probability of lightning current amplitude along the railway line decreases rapidly in the small current part of 0~50 KA,and slowly in the large current part of>50 KA.The probability density distribution of lightning current amplitude increases first and then decreases,and it is a single-peak structure.The measured peak value occurs around 16 KA,and the intensity of lightning current is mainly concentrated in 10~50 KA.It is important to strengthen the prevention of lightning with the amplitude of lightning current<60 KA.
