A Study of Ethnic Identity Contained in Jinxiu Yao Nationality's Myths and Chinese Cultural Identity——from the Perspective of Roland Barthes'Mythological Semiotic Analysis Pattern
Myth is a way of expressing the history of the Jinxiu Yao Nationality,and the function and the connotation it contributes to the development of the Nationality exceeds its significance as a symbol.Besides,the mentioned myths are abundant with narration of ethnic identity,which is highly overlapping with Chinese culture.Therefore,the people of Jinxiu Yao Nationality construct the historical memory under the framework of the Chinese nation through myths,reflecting the approval of Chinese culture.From the perspective of mytho-logical semiotic pattern analysis raised by Roland Barthes,the French semiologist,the study argues the catego-ry of Jinxiu Yao Nationality's myths and the social function of ethnic identity generated in the development,thus discussing the consciousness of Chinese cultural identity of the Nationality.
