As a kind of perennial or seasonal waterlogged waters,wetland is mostly distributed in human residential are-as and subject to obvious human activities.Wetland management has always been a key issue of ecological protection.As the basic rules of wetland protection in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,"Wetland Protection Regulations of Inner Mon-golia Autonomous Region"is in the state of general regulations,insufficient provisions and deficiencies.After the promulga-tion of the"Wetland Protection Law of the People's Republic of China",it is necessary to revise its shortcomings according to the framework and content of the Basic Law of wetland protection,so as to ensure the systematic protection of wetlands in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.Secondly,draw lessons from accordingly to other revised provincial and municipal wetland protection regulations to improve the comprehensiveness of wetland protection in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Re-gion.Finally,put forward optimization suggestions on the general principles and management of wetland protection laws and regulations to promote the sustainable development of wetland protection in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
