Effect of Information Management in the Context of the Internet in Patients with Chronic Wounds,Stoma and In-continence
Objective:To investigate the effect of information management in the context of the Internet in patients with chronic wounds, stoma, and incontinence, with the aim of providing high-quality out-of-hospital extended care services for patients and im-proving the quality of their prognosis. Methods:The clinical data of 197 patients with wound stoma incontinence admitted to the hospital from June 2019 to January 2021 were retrospectively analyzed, and the patients were divided into a study group(98 cases, who received information management in the context of the Internet in the post-hospital period)and a control group(99 cases, who received conventional post-hospital continuity of care)according to the difference in their post-hospital care regimens, with the in-tervention time being 6 months post-hospital.The ability daily living(ADL)scores, satisfaction with care, and stoma complications were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:After the intervention, the ADL-Advanced Abili-ty,ADL-Basic Ability, and ADL-Total scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=26.470,6.260,8.799,P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.593,P<0.05).The total complication rate of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.834,P<0.05).Conclusion:An infor-mation-based management platform in the context of the Internet can improve the self-health management ability and quality of life of chronic wound stoma incontinence patients, and help to improve post-hospital wound stoma management in clinical patients.
