Effect of Prospective Care on the Postoperative Outcome of Pediatric Supracondylar Humerus Fractures
Objective:To explore the impact of prospective care on the outcome of postoperative care for pediatric supracondylar humerus fractures.Methods:60 children with supracondylar humerus fractures admitted to the hospital from June 2019 to December 2020 were selected for the study, and were divided into study group and control group using the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional care, and the study group was given prospective care on the basis of the control group. The elbow function, pain scores, treatment compliance, family satisfaction, complications, quality of life scores and psychological status scores of patients in both groups were compared. Results:The rate of excellent elbow function in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.040,P<0.05).The pain numeric rating scales(NRS)scores of the study group were lower than those of the pre-intervention and control groups after the intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(t=10.120,6.361,P<0.05).The scores of rational diet, compliance with medication, cooperation with exercise, and regular follow-up were higher in the study group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(t=5.645,3.651,4.913,4.184,P<0.05).The family satisfaction rate after the intervention was higher in the study group than in the control group, and the complication rate after the intervention was lower in the study group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(χ2=5.190,6.410,P<0.05).The quality of life scores in the physical, social, psychological, and environmental domains were higher in the study group than in the control group, and the anxiety self-rating scale(self-ratomganxietyseale,SAS)and depression self-rating scale(SDS)scores were lower in the study group than in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=3.011,3.212,2.139,3.097,2.736,2.103,P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of prospective care for children with supracondylar humerus fractures can improve their elbow function, treatment compliance and family satisfaction, and improve their psychological status by relieving pain symptoms, reducing the incidence of complications and improving their quality of life.
