Effects of Opuntia Oil Emulsion Combined with Intensity-modulated Radiotherapy on the Therapeutic Efficacy of Laryngeal Cancer,Radiotherapy Side Effects, and Blood Treg/Th17 Cytokine Levels
Objective:To study the effects of opuntia oil emulsion combined with intensity-modulated radiotherapy on the therapeutic efficacy of laryngeal cancer, the side effects of radiotherapy, and the levels of blood regulatory T cell/helper T cell 17(Treg/Th17)cytokines,to provide clinical reference.Methods:126 cases of laryngeal cancer patients admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to July 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the control group and the observation group by using the random number table method, with 63 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intensity-modulated radiotherapy, and the observation group was treated with opuntia oil emulsion combined with intensity-modulated radiotherapy.Clinical efficacy, serum Treg/Th17-related cytokine(interleukin[IL-6],IL-17,IL-23,transforming growth factor-β[TGF-β])levels,serum cytokeratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1(CYFRA21-1),squamous cell carcinoma-associated antigen(SCC),aquaporin-1(AQP-1),sarcoplasmic trophic protein-1(STC-1)levels,Kahlstrom's score(KPS),and side effects of radiotherapy were compared between the two groups. Results:The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.420,P<0.05).After 21 d of treatment, the serum IL-6,IL-17,IL-23,and TGF-β levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=5.211,17.611,7.748,9.482,P<0.05).After 21 d of treatment, the serum CYFRA21-1,SCC,AQP-1,and STC-1 levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=10.299,5.663,9.091,7.389,P<0.05).The KPS score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group after 21 d of treatment(t=13.674,P<0.05).The side effects of radiotherapy in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.203,4.881,4.308,5.143,P<0.05).Conclusion:Combined treatment of laryngeal cancer patients with opuntia oil emulsion and intensity-modulated radiotherapy can achieve better clinical efficacy, further down-regulate serum Treg/Th17 cytokine levels, improve patients'physical status, and effectively alleviate toxic side effects.
