Effect of Cluster-based Perinatal Health Intervention on Maternal Nutrition during Pregnancy and the Occurrence of Adverse Perinatal Conditions in Primiparous Women
Objective:To observe the effect of a cluster-based perinatal health intervention on maternal nutrition during pregnancy and the occurrence of adverse perinatal conditions in primiparous women.Methods:200 cases of primigravid women admitted to the hospital from March to September 2021 were selected for the study, and were divided into a control group(n=100)and an observation group(n=100)using the random number table method. The control group received routine health education, and the observation group received health education according to the cluster perinatal care model.Pre-intervention,after 1 month of intervention, before delivery, after delivery the two groups of pregnant women anxiety self-assessment scale(SAS),depression self-assessment scale(SDS)were compared. The health literacy(Maternal and Child Health Literacy Assessment Questionnaire)of pregnant women was compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. The incidence of adverse conditions during pregnancy and perinatal period as well as the outcome of labor and delivery of pregnant women in both groups were counted. Results:The SAS and SDS scores of pregnant women in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group in the same period after 1 month of intervention, before delivery, and after delivery, with statistically significant differences(t=2.520,2.792,5.381,2.118,2.856,2.869,P<0.05).After the intervention, the health literacy scores of pregnant women in the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=2.106,2.711,3.081,P<0.05).Adverse events during pregnancy and perinatal period of pregnant women in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.976,6.003,P<0.05).The rate of spontaneous delivery among pregnant women in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.573,P=0.018).Conclusion:Cluster-based perinatal health interventions are effective in alleviating the level of anxiety and depression of primigravid women during pregnancy and delivery, enhancing maternal health literacy, reducing nutritional imbalances during pregnancy and perinatal maladies, and increasing the rate of spontaneous deliveries.
