The Value of Oral Motor Intervention Program in Transoral Feeding of Preterm Infants
Objective:To investigate the effect of an oral motor nursing intervention on trends in the amount of oral breastfeeding in preterm infants and the effectiveness of its application. Methods:A convenience sampling method was adopted to select 110 cases of preterm infants admitted to the hospital from June 2019 to June 2020 as the study subjects, which were divided into the control group and the exercise group according to the random number table method, with 55 cases in each group. The control group carried out routine feeding nursing intervention for preterm infants, and the exercise group adopted oral exercise nursing intervention. The trend of oral feeding ratio and feeding compliance were compared between the two groups of preterm infants. Results:At 1 d,2 d,3 d,4 d,5 d,6 d,and 7 d post-intervention,the oral feeding ratios of preterm infants in the two groups showed an increasing trend, with the exercise group's oral feeding ratios being higher than those of the control group at all time points during the 7 d post-intervention period, and the difference was statistically significant(F=1 447.002,P<0.05).The feeding compliance rate of the exercise group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.356,P<0.05).The feeding efficiency and sucking efficiency of preterm infants in the exercise group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=12.580,10.074,P<0.05).Conclusion:Oral motor nursing intervention positively affects the trend of transoral breastfeeding volume in preterm infants and improves their feeding compliance rate.
