Effects of Extended Out-of-hospital Care Based on Structure-process-outcome on Quality of Life of Children with Hepatic Insufficiency and Family's Disease Perception
Objective:To investigate the impact of structure-process-outcome-based out-of-hospital extended care on the quality of life of children with hepatic insufficiency and the family's perception of the disease, and to provide a basis for clinical care.Methods:60 cases of children with hepatic insufficiency admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to February 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the control group and the experimental group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group used conventional out-of-hospital extended care, and the experimental group implemented structure-process-outcome-based out-of-hospital extended care.Family disease awareness level and children's quality of life before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results:After 3 months of intervention, the scores of the family members of the children in the experimental group were higher than those of the control group on the dimensions of cause of morbidity, clinical manifestations, treatment options, and points of care, and the difference was statistically significant(t=5.858,6.282,6.475,5.902;P<0.05).After 3 months of intervention, the children in the experimental group had higher scores than the control group in the dimensions of physical functioning, emotional functioning, social functioning, and role functioning, and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.919,4.633,5.460,4.463;P<0.05).Conclusion:Extended out-of-hospital care based on structure-process-outcome improves disease awareness and quality of life for families of children with hepatic insufficiency.
