Retrospective Analysis of Unpaid Blood Donation in Qidong City in the Past Ten Years and Strategy Research
Objective:A retrospective analysis of the operating trend of unpaid blood donation in Qidong in the past ten years was conducted to find out the shortcomings of unpaid blood donation,study the corresponding countermeasures,and provide theoretical guidance for further promoting the work of unpaid blood donation in Qidong City.Methods:A retrospective analysis method was used to collect data related to unpaid blood donation from Jiangsu Province Blood Information Management System from 2011 to 2020.Results:The total volume of unpaid blood collected was on an upward trend,with the volume of blood donated rising from 10 209.25 units in 2011 to 10 921.5 units in 2020,with an increase of 6.98%in the total volume of blood.Street blood donations decreased from 1 774 in 2016 to 1 387 in 2020,with a decrease of 21.82%.The percentage of 200 mL blood donations has been decreasing annually,from 52.30%in 2011 to 9.30%in 2020,with a decrease of 82.2%.The number of female blood donations was higher than that of males.The highest proportion of blood donors was 35~45 years old,accounting for 30.15%.Conclusion:Publicity on blood donation should be strengthened,blood donors should be recruited in a diversified and multi-channel manner,and the general public should be guided to take an active part in blood donation,so as to form a favorable environment in which society cares about and supports blood donation.
