Objective:To investigate the effect of psychological care under empowerment education on the psychological state and self-care ability of breast cancer patients, and to provide a basis for clinical care.Methods:96 cases of radical mastectomy for breast cancer admitted to the hospital from August 2019 to August 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the control group and the observation group based on the random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. The control group implemented conventional nursing interventions, and the observation group implemented psychological nursing interventions under empowerment education on the basis of conventional nursing. The psychological state[Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)scores],self-care ability[Self-Care Competence Scale(ESCA)scores],complications, and satisfaction with nursing care were compared between the two groups. Results:After the intervention,HAMA and HAMD scores of patients in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=10.411,10.569,P<0.05).After the intervention, the scores of all dimensions of ESCA of patients in the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.917,7.736,8.026,5.968;P<0.05).The complication rate of patients in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.019,P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.414,P<0.05).Conclusion:Psychological care intervention under empowerment education can improve the psychological state and self-care ability of breast cancer patients, reduce the incidence of complications, and increase nursing satisfaction.
