Effect of Psychological Nursing Based on SBAR Model on the Psychological State and Uncertainty of Elderly Patients with Diabetes
Objective:To explore the effect of psychological nursing based on status quo-background-assessment-suggestion(SBAR)model on the psychological status and disease uncertainty of elderly diabetes patients,so as to provide reference for clinical nursing. Methods:A total of 100 elderly patients with diabetes mellitus were selected from the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January,2019 to December,2019.They were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the study group was given psychological nursing intervention based on SBAR model. The mental status(BPOMS),uncertainty of illness(MUIS-A)and health empowerment(health empowerment scale for elderly patients with chronic diseases)were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results:After intervention, the BPOMS scores in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(t=3.818,4.702,5.516,5.189,6.289,6.403,3.602;P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of MUIS-A in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(t= 11.773,11.522,12.224,9.832,13.670;P<0.05).After intervention, the score of health empowerment in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group(t=7.773,8.676,7.282,7.905,8.704,6.782;P<0.05).Conclusion:Psychological nursing based on SBAR model can effectively improve the psychological status of elderly patients with diabetes, reduce their sense of disease uncertainty, and improve their health empowerment level.
