Objective:To observe the application effect of special nursing combined with health education in chemotherapy for colorectal cancer and the effect on patients'disease cognition and compliance.Methods:138 cases of colorectal cancer patients who received chemotherapy in the hospital from May 2020 to March 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and they were equally divided into experimental group and control group by lottery method, with 69 cases in each group. The control group was given routine care, and the experimental group implemented special care combined with health education. The disease cognition before and after nursing care, the compliance to chemotherapy after nursing care were compared between the two groups, and a short-term follow-up of 6 months was carried out for all the patients to compare the self-management ability and survival of the two groups. Results:After nursing, the scores of all dimensions of the Disease Awareness Survey Scale in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.391,2.331,2.843;P<0.05).After different methods of care, the excellent rate of chemotherapy adherence in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.306,P<0.05).During the follow-up period, the self-care competence scale(ESCA)scores and general self-efficacy scale(GESE)scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the scores of the Quality of Survival Scale for Patients with Cancer(QLQ-C30)and the Quality of Life Measurement Scale for Patients with Colorectal Cancer(FACT-C)were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=2.382,2.539,2.608,3.611;P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of special nursing care and health education has high application value in colorectal cancer chemotherapy, which can effectively improve patients'disease cognition and chemotherapy compliance, enhance patients'self-management ability, and improve the quality of long-term survival.
