Objective:To explore the effects of patient demand-oriented phased health education on self-management ability and quality of life of patients with peptic ulcer. Methods:A total of 92 patients with peptic ulcer diagnosed and treated in the hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected and divided into stage group(46 cases)and routine group(46 cases)by random envelope method.Routine nursing intervention was carried out in the routine group, and patient demand-oriented phased health education intervention was carried out in the stage group based on the routine group.Compliance, ulcer healing, disease knowledge before and after intervention,self-management ability(AHSMSRS),quality of life(GQOL-74),emotional status[Positive and Negative Emotion Scale(PA-NAS)],Health Behavior[Health Promotion Lifestyle Inventory(HPLP-Ⅱ)]were investigated in both groups. Results:The total compliance rate of the stage group was higher than that of the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.060,P<0.05).The healing efficiency of stage group was higher than that of conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.434,P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of ulcer related knowledge, drug action, medication method, healthy diet and behavior in stage group were higher than those in conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=18.018,9.087,14.869,8.013;P<0.05).After intervention,AHSMSRS and GQOL-74 scores in the stage group were higher than those in the conventional group, with statistical significance(t=4.693,6.472;P<0.05).After the intervention, the PA-NAS positive and HPLP-Ⅱ scores in the stage group were higher than those in the conventional group, and the PA-NAS negative scores were lower than those in the conventional group, with statistical significance(t=8.300,15.786,2.854;P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of patient demand-oriented phased health education in patients with peptic ulcer can improve patients'disease knowledge,self-management ability, relieve patients'bad mood, improve patients'compliance, promote patients'ulcer healing, and improve their quality of life.
