Objective:To analyze the value of plain and enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in the staging diagnosis of rectal cancer.Methods:66 patients with rectal cancer admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to February 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. They were all confirmed by pathological diagnosis. All patients underwent plain and enhanced magnetic resonance imaging.Based on the pathological diagnosis results as the gold standard, the diagnostic efficacy, evaluation, and application value of plain and enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in the staging of rectal cancer were analyzed. Results:In terms of T-stage diagnostic results in patients with rectal cancer, the accuracy of plain magnetic resonance imaging combined with enhanced scanning in the diagnosis of T3 stage rectal cancer was higher than that of other stages. The specificity, sensitivity, and accuracy of the diagnosis of other stages were compared, with statistically significant difference(χ2=1.552,1.658,1.947,1.653,0,1.117;P>0.05).In terms of N-stage diagnostic results of rectal cancer patients, the diagnostic accuracy of plain MRI combined with enhanced MRI in N0 and N1 stages of rectal cancer was higher than that of conventional MRI and enhanced MRI,with statistically significant difference(χ2=3.152,3.246;P<0.05).Conclusion:In clinical diagnosis of rectal cancer patients, the use of plain and enhanced magnetic resonance imaging can accurately stage the preoperative stage. This provides reliable guidance for clinical treatment, has high application value.
