Objective:To investigate the tongue exercises training on the tongue strength and difficulty swallowing after stroke.Methods:60 patients with difficulty swallowing after stroke admitted to the hospital ftom Feb.2020 to Feb.2022 were seretted as the study subjects, and they were randomly divide into control group(n=30)and treatment group(n=30).The control group was only treated with swallowing function training, while the treatment group was treated with swallowing function training and tongue exercises. The criteria for evaluation of dysphagia and function oral intake scale were assessment before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the scores of tongue muscle, masticatory muscle and throat muscle in two groups were significantly higher than before treatment, and the scores of tongue muscle in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=-3.168,P<0.05).After treatment, the FOIS score of the two groups was significantly higher than that before treatment, and the FOIS score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=-2.860,P<0.05).Conclusion:Tongue exercises can enhance the strength of tongue, and effectively promote swallowing function after stroke.
