Exploration of the Mechanism of Schisandra Chinensis in Treating Ischemic Stroke Based on Network Pharmacology
Objective:To explore the effective active substances and specific mechanisms of Schisandra chinensis in the treatment of ischemic stroke. Methods:The effective ingredients of Schisandra chinensis were screened using the traditional Chinese medicine system pharmacology database and analysis platform, and the action targets of effective active substances were obtained using the Swiss target prediction database. The related targets of ischemic stroke were obtained from GeneCards and the online Mendelian Genetic Database. The common targets were obtained through Wayne diagrams and the protein interaction network network was established using String database. The biological process items, molecular function items, and cell components items were obtained through GO analysis using the DAVID database. The potential mechanisms of Schisandra chinensis were obtained through KEGG pathway enrichment analysis. The effective components-targets-pathways network was established with Cytoscape 3.8.2 software. Results:Schisandra chinensis has 7 effective ingredients and 18 core targets for treating ischemic stroke.Through GO analysis,it was found that the treatment of ischemic stroke by Schisandra chinensis involved 220 biological process items,27 cell component items, and 34 molecular functional items.Through KEGG pathway enrichment analysis,it is found that the treatment of ischemic stroke by Schisandra chinensis involved VEGF signaling pathway,PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, lipid and atherosclerosis signaling pathway and TNF signaling pathway. The network of Schisandra chinensis for treating ischemic stroke involved 35 nodes and 184 edges, with an average number of adjacent nodes of 10.514 and a network centrality of 0.309.Conclusion:Schisandra chinensis plays a role in treating ischemic stroke with multiple active ingredients, targets, and pathways. The potential mechanism of Schisandra chinensis in treating ischemic stroke predicted can be used as a basis for experimental research and clinical application.
