Effect of Acupoint Application Combined with Acupoint Massage on Brain Natriuretic Peptide Level and Abdominal Distension in Patients with Heart Failure
Objective:To explore the effect of point application combined with point massage on brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)level and abdominal distension in patients with heart failure after enteral nutrition.Methods:68 cases of abdominal distension caused by enteral nutrition in patients with heart failure admitted to Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese medicine from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected and divided into control group and observation group by drawing lots,with cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing intervention,while the observation group received acupoint application combined with acupoint massage nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing.The improvement of abdominal distention,the level of brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),bowel sounds,abdominal pressure,abdominal circumference and quality of life(SF-36)were compared between the two groups.Results:The ratio of mild abdominal distention in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group,and the ratio of moderate abdominal distention was lower than that in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(x2=11.769,7.703;P＜0.05).After intervention,the level of BNP in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(t=8.275,P＜0.05).After intervention,the scores of bowel sounds,abdominal pressure,abdominal circumference and quality of life in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(t=16.492,5.485,7.872,5.058;P＜0.05).Conclusion:The nursing intervention of point application combined with point massage for patients with abdominal distension caused by enteral nutrition in heart failure can obviously improve the BNP level,promote the improvement of abdominal distension symptoms,optimize the clinical indexes,and improve the quality of life of patients.
