Influence of New Gel Removal Technology on Pain and Complications of Children with Oral Caries
Objective:To analyze the influence of new gel removal technology on pain and complication of children with oral caries. Methods:A total of 82 children with oral caries admitted to the hospital from January to October 2022 were divided into observation group(n=41)and conventional group(n=41)according to different treatment methods. The general group received the conventional mechanical removal method, and the observation group used the new gel removal technology. The degree of swelling, pain, inflammatory factors interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and complications were compared between the two groups. The success rate of treatment at 3 months and 6 months after treatment were compared. Results:After treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were decreased, and VAS of the observation group were lower than those of the conventional group(t=36.982,P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the gingival crevicular fluid of the two groups increased, but the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the conventional group(t=13.198,12.571;P<0.05).The total complication rate of observation group(4.88%)was lower than that of conventional group(19.51%),with statistically significant difference(t=4.100,P<0.05).The success rate of treatment in observation group was higher than that in conventional group at 3 months and 6 months after treatment(t=4.232,4.100;P<0.05).Conclusion:The new gel removal technology is effective for improving swelling and pain, reducing inflammation, and reducing the risk of complications in children with oral caries.
