Application of Mind Mapping Combined with Case Teaching Method in Medical Imaging Teaching
Objective:To introduce the Mind Mapping combined with Case Teaching Method into the teaching practice of Medical Imaging teaching.Methods:2 five-year undergraduate clinical major classes of the same grade in a college in Hunan Province from September to December 2020 were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.67 students in a teaching class were selected as the experimental group,and 65 students of 1 teaching class were selected as the control group with computer random group method.Control group adopted traditional mode teaching method,and the experimental group adopted mind mapping combined case analysis method on the basis of traditional mode teaching.Results:The theoretical test scores and the practical test scores of the students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(t=4.652,18.935;P<0.05).The critical thinking ability and learning initiative of students in the experimental group after intervention were significantly improved compared with those before intervention(t=17.335,16.442;P<0.05).The number of students in the experimental group who believed that the teaching mode was helpful to systematically summarize knowledge points,understand the correlation between knowledge points,improve the classroom atmosphere,improve the ability to solve problems independently and hope to continue the teaching method was more than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=23.978,12.204,15.234,5.151,6.063;P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of mind mapping and case analysis can improve students'ability of learning initiative and critical thinking,and ultimately improve their academic performance.The application of mind mapping in undergraduate medical imaging teaching is a feasible and efficient teaching method.
