Objective:To analyze the value of color Doppler quantification of popliteal artery parameters in lower extremity vasculopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods:Using retrospective analysis, volunteers who underwent health checkups in the hospital from August 2019 to October 2022 were included in the control group(25 cases),and patients with T2MD were included in the observation group(51 cases). The observation group was divided into 20 cases in group A(normal IMT),6 cases in group B(IMT thickening),and 25 cases in group C(plaque formation)according to the popliteal artery intima-media thickness(IMT).The maximum diameter of popliteal artery(R),peak systolic velocity(PSV),wall shear stress(WSS)were compared between the observation group and the control group. The disease duration, age, body mass index, blood pressure, and blood glucose, etc.,which may affect the formation of arterial plaque, were compared among patients in Groups A,B and C.R,PSV and WSS were compared among the three groups.WSS was analyzed to predict the efficacy of type 2 diabetes mellitus and the factors associated with WSS.Results:PSV and WSS of patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with Group A,patients in Group B were older, had a longer disease duration, and had lower triglycerides and WSS,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with group A,patients in group C were higher in age,had a longer disease duration, and lower PSV and WSS,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with group B,patients in group C were higher in age and had lower PSV and WSS,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).WSS was taken as 1.82 dyne/cm2,with a specificity and sensitivity of 84%and 66%,respectively,predicting LEAD in patients with T2DM was negatively correlated with disease duration, age, and popliteal artery IMT(r=-0.370,-0.570,-0.592;P<0.05),and positively correlated with PSV(r=0.601,P<0.05).Conclusion:Quantitative color Doppler ultrasound analysis of lower popliteal artery WSS is effective in predicting lower limb vasculopathy in patients with T2DM.It is suggested that the combination of patients'disease duration, age, and popliteal artery IMT improves the diagnostic accuracy.
