Investigation of Knee Joint Sensory Impairment Symptoms and its Influencing Factors in Elderly Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective:To investigate the symptoms of knee joint sensory impairment in elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA)and its influencing factors.Methods:Elderly patients with KOA who were treated in the hospital from October 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects.The general data questionnaire,knee joint perception impairment questionnaire,pain catastrophizing scale,hospital anxiety and depression scale and exercise fear scale were used to investigate them.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of knee joint perception impairment symptoms in elderly KOA patients.Results:The total score of the knee joint perception impairment questionnaire for elderly KOA patients was(31.36±2.35).The average scores of each dimension from high to low were:physical activity(15.84±1.77),somatosensory(12.17±1.84).There were statistically significant differences in the scores of knee joint perception impairment questionnaire among elderly KOA patients with different ages,joint sites and education levels(F=5.367,24.868,5.514;P＜0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of knee joint perception impairment questionnaire in elderly KOA patients was positively correlated with the total score of pain catastrophization,anxiety score,depression score and fear of movement score(r=0.882,0.816,0.715,0.824;P＜0.001).The results of multiple linear regression showed that education level,joint site,pain catastrophizing,anxiety and fear of movement were important factors affecting knee joint sensory impairment in elderly KOA patients(t=-5.651,4.126,4.598,4.229,1.367;P＜0.05).Conclusion:The knee joint sensory perception impairment of elderly KOA patients is at a high level,which is related to the level of education,joint site,pain catastrophizing,anxiety and fear of movement.Clinical attention should be paid to it and targeted intervention programs should be formulated.
