Clinical Observation of Acupoint Application of Wuzhuyu Officinalis to Prevent Gastrointestinal Reaction Induced by Chemotherapy Based on Meridian Flow Theory
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of acupoint application of Wuzhuyu Officinalis on the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal reactions caused by chemotherapy based on the meridian flow theory.Methods:A total of 60 chemotherapy patients admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected and divided into two groups with 30 patients in each group according to random number table method.The control group was treated with Western medicine,and the observation group was treated with acupoint application of Wuzhuyu Officinalis based on meridian flow theory.The clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome score,incidence of gastrointestinal reactions,length of stay and rate of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective control rate of observation group was higher than that of control group(χ2=9.320,P＜0.05).1 week after chemotherapy,TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group(t=14.119,P＜0.05).The incidence of vomiting,nausea,diarrhea,abdominal distension,hiccup and ADR in observation group were lower than those in control group(χ2=6.944,9.643,4.320,7.680,5.934,4.320;P＜0.05).The hospitalization time of observation group was shorter than control group(t=13.981,P＜0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint application of Wuzhuyu Officinalis based on the meridian flow theory has significant effect on the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal reactions caused by chemotherapy,which can alleviate the symptoms of patients,reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal reactions and adverse reactions,and shorten the length of hospital stay.
