Objective:Taking Xuzhou as an example,to explore the needs and influencing factors of virtual nursing homes from the perspective of the elderly themselves.Methods:A stratified cluster sampling method was used to randomly select 400 elderly people from 5 communities in Xuzhou with questionnaire survey.Descriptive analysis,binary logistic regression analysis,and cluster analysis were conducted.Results:The elderly in Xuzhou had low awareness of virtual nursing homes and high demand.Cluster analysis results show that the demands maily lied in medical care,health care services and spiritual comfort.Age,marital status,living status,income source,medical insurance status and endowment insurance status were the influential factors of the demand for virtual endowment service.Age and living status were important factors influencing the service demand of virtual nursing home for the elderly.Conclusion:Under the population ageing process,the residents in Xuzhou have good acceptance and diversified demand for"virtual nursing homes"and home-based medical care services.This medical care model can promote the development of elderly care in Xuzhou Region.
