Comparison of Muscle Bone Ultrasound and MSCT Examination in the Diagnosis of Triceps Brachii Tendon Rup-ture with Ossifying Myositis
Objective:To analyze and compare the diagnostic value of musculoskeletal ultrasound and multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT)in Triceps tendon rupture with myositis ossificans.Methods:80 cases of Triceps tendon rupture with myositis ossificans admitted to the hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected, and 80 cases were examined by musculoskeletal ultrasound and MSCT.Results:The detection rate of triceps tendon rupture and ossificans mysitis by musculoskeletal ultrasonography was higher than that by MSCT,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.378,5.096;P<0.05).The detection rates of bone destruction, soft tissue swelling and joint effusion by musculoskeletal ultrasound were higher than those by MSCT,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.254,6.234,8.229;P<0.05).The triceps tendon fibers of proximal trochlea of humerus were continuously interrupted, the middle part of the broken end showed uneven low echo, the tendon of the proximal broken end showed irregular strong echo, and the boundary was not significant. In the early stage, the edges showed mottled calcification with slightly higher density. In the middle stage, the edges showed equal-slightly higher density stratification signs. In the late stage, the boundaries were clear and no soft tissue masses were seen around. Conclusion:Compared with MSCT,musculoskeletal ultrasound is more effective in the diagnosis of Triceps tendon rupture with ossifying myositis, with a higher detection rate, which can be widely used in clinical practice.
