Objective:To analyze the application value of staged educational nursing model intervention in children under appendicitis surgery,so as to provide ideas for clinical improvement of nursing measures.Methods:This study conducted a retrospective research method to collect 97 children who underwent appendicitis surgery in the hospital from May 2023 to March 2024.They were divided into stage group(49 cases)and control group(48 cases)according to different intervention programmes.Control group received conventional nursing intervention,and stage group received intervention based on the control group with the addition of stage-based educational nursing model.Complications,the mastery of health knowledge of the family members,the psychological status of the children[modified Yale Perioperative Anxiety Scale(mYPAS)],the family's satisfaction with nursing care,and the scores of wong baker facial expression scale of two groups were compared.Results:Compared with the two groups,the stage group was higher than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.547,P<0.05).MYPAS scores of the two groups were compared while waiting in the anesthesia induction room and 6 h after surgery.MYPAS scores of the stage group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.833,12.449;P<0.05).6 h,12 h and 24 h after surgery,the pain degree score of stage group was lower than that of control group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=9.504,10.234,11.449;P<0.05).The complication rate of stage group was lower than that of control group,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.626;P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of family members in stage group was higher than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.552,P<0.05).Conclusion:Stage-based educational nursing model interventions applied to children undergoing appendicitis surgery can help to reduce the incidence of complications,alleviate negative emotions,and reduce pain,as well as improve family knowledge and satisfaction with care.
