Application of Remimazolam Combined Propofol in Elderly Patients Undergoing Analgesia Colonoscopy
Objective:To explore the efficacy of intravenous anesthesia with remimazolam combined propofol in elderly patients undergoing colonoscopy. Methods:A total of 120 elderly patients undergoing sedative colonoscopy were randomized into two groups:Group RP(remimazolam combined propofol)and Group P(propofol),with 60 patients in each group.RP group received remazolam 5 mg+propofol 0.5 mg/kg,and P group received propofol 1.0 mg/kg.MAP and HR of patients were monitored and recorded at 4 different time points:5 min before medication(T0),before admission after medication(T1),admission through liver area(T2),and being awake(T3).The colonoscopy time, waking time and adverse reactions, such as body movement, injection pain, respiratory depression, hiccup, nausea and vomiting, were compared between the two groups. Results:All cases completed the examination successfully, and there was no significant difference in the general information, colonoscopy time, recovery time and MAP of T0 time point between the two groups(P>0.05).MAP at T1 and T2 was significantly lower than that at T0,and the decrease in RP group was smaller than that in P group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At T3 time point,MAP of both groups recovered to T0 level, with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).The incidence of injection pain and respiratory depression in RP group was significantly lower than that in P group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The incidence of hiccup was significantly higher than that of group P,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of body movement, nausea and vomiting between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:RP may have non-inferior efficacy and a higher safety profile than propofol in elderly outpatients undergoing colonoscopy,so RP may be more suitable for elderly patients undergoing colonoscopy.
