Comparative Study of Two Different Umbilical Approaches in Single-hole Laparoscopic Appendectomy
Objective:To compare the clinical effect of transumbilical longitudinal approach and circumumbilical arc approach in single-hole laparoscopic appendectomy.Methods:68 patients with appendicitis in need of operation admitted to the hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected, and divided into observation group(longitudinal transumbilical approach group)with 33 cases and control group(round umbilical arc approach group)with 35 cases according to different methods of umbilical approach during operation. The time, postoperative pain score, aesthetic satisfaction score of abdominal wall incision and the incidence of incision complications were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:The time of umbilical incision implantation in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the pain scores of abdominal incision and aesthetic satisfaction scores of postoperative abdominal incision at 12 h,24 h and 72 h were significantly better than those in the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=0.950,4.746,3.863,2.817,-9.439;P<0.05).Postoperative incision complications occurred in 1 case in the observation group and 2 cases in the control group. Conclusion:The use of longitudinal transumbilical approach in single-hole laparoscopic appendectomy has the advantages of short operation time, less postoperative incision pain and higher aesthetic satisfaction.
