Impact of Rehabilitation Guidance Based on Snyder's Hope Theory on Postoperative Hope Level and Self-management Efficiency of Laryngeal Cancer Patients
Objective:To explore the application effect of rehabilitation guidance based on Snyder's Hope Theory in laryngeal cancer patients. Methods:A total of 120 laryngeal cancer patients admitted to the hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were randomly divided into groups with random number table method. The control group(60 cases)received routine care, while the observation group(60 cases)received rehabilitation guidance based on Snyder's Hope Theory. Both groups continued to receive care until the patient was discharged. The psychological status, level of hope,self-management efficiency, complications and quality of life between the two groups were compared. Results:After nursing, the scores of depression, stress and anxiety in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=15.581,17.746,20.967;P<0.001).After nursing, patients in the observation group were higher than those in the control group in the three dimensions of positive attitude towards reality and future, keeping close relationship with others, and taking positive actions, with statistically significant difference(t=13.695,14.145,12.605;P<0.001).After nursing, the scores of positive attitude, stress relief and self-decision making in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=13.702,10.785,11.146;P<0.001).The incidence and total incidence of complications such as pharyngeal fistula, pulmonary infection and trachea obstruction in observation group were lower than those in control group, with statistically significant difference(x2=4.904,P<0.05).After nursing, the emotional function, physical pain, physiological function, mental health, physical function, social function, vital vitality and overall health scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group. The differences were statistically significant(t=7.662,12.924,6.919,12.222,14.214,12.855,9.521,8.704;P<0.001).Conclusion:Rehabilitation guidance based on Snyder's Hope Theory can improve the negative emotions of laryngeal cancer patients, promote their postoperative hope level, effectively enhance their self-management efficiency, help reduce complications, and thus improve their quality of life.
