Effect of Early Visual and Olfactory Stimulation on Postoperative Olfactory Function,Nasal Function and Sleep Quality in Patients with Pituitary Adenoma
Objective:To explore the application effect of early visual and olfactory stimulation in patients with pituitary adenoma.Methods:100 patients with pituitary tumors admitted to the hospital from March 2019 to March 2023 were selected, and randomly divided into groups with random number table method.50 patients of control group received routine nursing measures, while 50 patients of the observation group received early visual and olfactory stimulation on the basis of routine nursing. Both groups were observed. The olfactory function, nasal function, sleep quality and quality of life between two groups were compared. Results:After intervention, olfactory psychophysical test scores and SS-12 test scores in observation group were higher than those in control group,DT and RT were lower than those in control group, with statistically significant difference(t=5.691,22.379,3.616,14.652;P<0.05).After intervention,ASK score of observation group was lower than control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=12.958,P<0.05).After intervention, the patients in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=28.461,25.495,19.325,11.875,29.699,30.673,23.985;P<0.05).After intervention, patients in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=17.732,15.274,13.202,6.426,14.451,13.901,13.906;P<0.05).Conclusion:Early visual and olfactory stimulation can help pituitary tumor patients quickly recover their olfactory function, effectively alleviate nasal symptoms, and improve their sleep and quality of life.
