Study on the Safety and Efficacy of Transcatheter Embolization in the Treatment of Infantile Hemangioma
Objective:To investigate the application value of transarterial interventional embolization(TASE)in the treatment of infantile hemangioma(IH).Methods:90 infants with hemangioma treated in the hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects. The children were divided into two groups by computer randomized method. The observation group(n=45)received TASE treatment, and the control group(n=45)received ring suture.Clinical efficacy, complications and 6 months after operation of the two groups were observed, and the scar beauty(VSS score),serum β2-microglobulin(B2-MG)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)before and after operation were compared. Results:There was no significant difference between 88.89%of observation group and 100.00%of control group(x2=3.388,P>0.05).1 month after surgery, scar VSS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=7.420,6.543,9.298,6.064;P<0.05).1 month after operation, serum β2-MG and VEGF levels in 2 groups were decreased compared with those before operation, but the observation group was higher than the control group. The difference was statistically significant(t=2.007,2.001;P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in the total incidence of complications(x2=1.607,P>0.05).Conclusion:TASE is a safe and reliable treatment for IH,which can significantly enhance the cosmetic effect of scar.
