Application of Case-discussion Teaching Method in the Training of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Objective:To evaluate the application effect and feasibility of case-discussion teaching method in the training of percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods:86 students were enrolled during the training of percutaneous coronary intervention in the department of cardiology in the hospital.They were randomly divided into observation group(n=43)and control group(n=43).The observation group received case-discussion teaching method,while the control group received traditional teaching method.After the period of training,students'performance in theoretical examination,clinical practice skill assessment and satisfaction with the teaching method was compared between the two groups.Results:The score of theoretical examination and the total score in the observation group were significantly higher than that in the control group(t=4.515,3.007;P<0.05).The observation group was significantly higher than the control group in terms of whether they were satisfied with the teaching method and whether the training course would help them independently to perform PCI(t=3.910,3.806;P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared to the traditional teaching methods,the case-discussion teaching method has a definite and feasible effect in the training of percutaneous coronary intervention.
