Effect of Job Embedding and Empathy Fatigue on Dimission Tendency of Operating Room Nurses
Objective:To explore the current situation of resignation tendency of operating room nurses of 6 tertiary A hospitals in Tianjin,and its relationship with work embedding and empathy fatigue.Methods:The convenience sampling method was used to investigate the turnover tendency,job embedding and empathy fatigue of operating room nurses in 6 large Grade Ⅲ general hospitals in Tianjin from January 2022 to January 2023 with self-designed general data questionnaire.Results:The turnover intention score of operating room nurses was(15.74±5.62).Multiple regression analysis showed that gender,age,education level,monthly income,working years,working distance,working environment and employment mode were the influencing factors for the turnover intention of operating room nurses(P<0.05).Correlation analysis found that resignation intention was negatively correlated with job embedding and empathy satisfaction(r=-0.795,-0.791;P<0.001).It was positively correlated with job burnout,secondary traumatic stress and empathy fatigue(r=0.843,0.838,0.664;P<0.001).Conclusion:Turnover intention of operating room nurses of 6 tertiary A hospitals in Tianjin is at a medium level.Managers can formulate work strategies to improve job embedding and empathy satisfaction,alleviate empathy fatigue,and reduce turnover intention of operating room nurses.
