Psychological Care Pathway in the Adverse Emotions of Advanced Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Their First Chemotherapy Treatment
Objective:To explore the efficacy of a psychological care pathway to intervene in adverse emotions in advanced breast cancer patients undergoing their first chemotherapy treatment.Methods:122 cases of advanced breast cancer patients admitted to Nanyang Central Hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were used as the study subjects. They were divided into the control group(61 cases, receiving conventional care)and the observation group(61 cases, using the psychological care pathway)with random number table method. All patients were assessed for adherence,Self-Assessment Scale for Anxiety(SAS),Self-Depression Scale(SDS),Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC),Chinese Version of M.D.Adersion Symptom Inventory(MDASI-C)and levels of inflammatory factors(interleukin IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor TNF-α)were measured. Results:After intervention, the adverse mood of patients in both groups was significantly improved, and SAS and SDS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=7.05,12.54;P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of psychological resilience of the two groups were improved to different degrees, and the observation group was significantly better than the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=6.23,5.23,5.79;P<0.05).After intervention, the score of Anderson Symptom Assessment Scale was significantly decreased in both groups, and the observation group was significantly better than the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=28.33,19.03;P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of serum inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and TNF-α were significantly decreased in both groups, and the observation group was significantly better than the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=17.74,3.40;P<0.05).Conclusion:Psychological care pathway in the first chemotherapy of advanced breast cancer patients can effectively reduce patients'anxiety and depression and improve their compliance, which can help to improve patients'quality of life and the effect of chemotherapy.
