Effect of ESPCS Nursing Model on Postoperative Pain and Lumbar Function in Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective:To observe the effect of explanation-simulation-practice-communication-support(ESPCS)nursing model on postoperative pain and lumbar function in patients with lumbar disc herniation.Methods:100 patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted to the Department of Orthopedics of the hospital from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected as research subjects. The selected patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group by the numbered envelope method, with 50 cases in each group.Patients in both groups received surgical treatment in the hospital, and the control group was given postoperative routine nursing intervention while the experimental group received ESPCS nursing model intervention based on the control group. The intervention effect and incidence rates of postoperative complications of the two groups were compared.Postoperative pain degree[Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)]and lumbar function[Japanese Orthopedic Association(JOA)lumbar lesion efficacy standard)]were recorded and compared between the two groups l day,15 days and 30 days after surgery. Results:The excellent and good rate in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group(x2=5.002,P<0.05).15 and 30 days after surgery, the VAS score in the two groups was significantly decreased(t=3.307,2.486;P<0.05),and the decrease in experimental group was greater(t=3.992,2.456;P<0.05).The JOA score was significantly increased in both groups, and the increase was greater in experimental group(t=3.992,2.456;P<0.05).There were no significant differences in postoperative complications between the two groups(x2=0.919,1.515,0.706;P>0.05).Conclusion:ESPCS nursing model can promote the postoperative rehabilitation of lumbar disc herniation, relieve the pain degree, and improve the lumbar function.
