Investigation on the Spatial Allocation of Health and Medical Service Resources for the Elderly:Through Taking Medical Resource Allocation for Stroke in Harbin City and Qiqihar City as an Example
Through taking the allocation of medical resources for stroke in the elderly population in Harbin and Qiqihar as an example, the spatial allocation of the elderly population and health service resources in Heilongjiang Province is discussed. The research background highlights the complex demographic structure of the elderly population in Heilongjiang, facing the dual burdens of aging and healthcare due to the overlapping issues of rapid aging, advanced age, disability, empty nests, and low birth rates("fivefold challenges").The vast geographical area and sparse population distribution further exacerbate the difficulties for the elderly in accessing high-quality healthcare services.Aging level of the two cities is higher than the national average, and there are significant regional differences in the health status of the elderly population. The study proposes strategies to optimize the matching between the distribution of the elderly population and medical resources,so as to improve the health status of the elderly, reduce the disability and mortality rates of critical illnesses such as stroke, and promote the achievement of healthy aging as a societal goal.
