Effect of High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation Combined with Nitric Oxide Inhalation on the Efficacy and Oxygenation Index of Premature Infants with Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension
Objective:To explore the application effect of high-frequency oscillatory ventilation combined with nitric oxide inhalation in premature infants with persistent pulmonary hypertension. Methods:according to the random number table method, premature infants with persistent pulmonary hypertension admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)of our hospital from August 2022 to October 2023 were divided into the control group(30 cases)and the observation group(30 cases). The control group was treated with high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, and the observation group was additionally treated with nitric oxide inhalation. The clinical efficacy, blood gas indexes, pulmonary artery systolic pressure, mechanical ventilation time, hospitalization time and complications of the two groups were compared. Results:the total effective rate of the observation group(96.67%)was higher than that of the control group(73.33%),P<0.05;After treatment, the arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,P<0.05;and the arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),inspired oxygen con-centration(FiO2),and oxygenation index(OI)of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,P<0.05;The level of pulmonary artery systolic pressure(SPAP)was lower than that of the control group,P<0.05;and the level of percutaneous oxygen saturation(SpO2)was higher than that of the control group,P<0.05.The duration of mechanical ventilation and hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,P<0.05.The incidence of complications in both groups was low. Conclusion:high frequency oscillatory ventilation combined with nitric oxide inhalation in the treatment of premature infants with persistent pulmonary hypertension has exact effect, can effectively improve the blood gas indicators of children, promote ventilation, and can also shorten the length of hospital stay, with fewer complications and good safety, which is worthy of promotion.
