Clinical Value of Ultrasound Diagnosis of Carotid Plaque Vulnerability in Predicting the Severity of Coronary Lesions
Objective:To analyze the value of ultrasonic diagnosis of carotid plaque vulnerability in predicting the severity of coronary lesions.Methods:111 patients with carotid plaque diagnosed by ultrasound in our hospital from July 2022 to September 2023 were divided into vulnerable plaque group(n=61)and stable plaque group(n=50)according to plaque stability.Clinical data, degree of coronary artery stenosis, number of coronary artery lesions,Gensini score of coronary artery lesions and incidence of coronary heart disease were compared between the two groups. Results:There were no significant differences in age, sex, smoking rate and body mass index between the two groups(P>0.05),but the alcohol consumption rate,TG and TC levels in vulnerable plaque group were higher than those in stable plaque group(P<0.05).The overall degree of coronary artery stenosis was different between the two groups(P<0.05).The mild stenosis rate in vulnerable plaque group was lower than that in stable plaque group, and the moderate and severe stenosis rate were higher than that in stable plaque group(P<0.05).The number of coronary lesions,Gensini score of coronary lesions and incidence of coronary heart disease in vulnerable plaque group were higher than those in stable plaque group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Carotid plaque vulnerability can predict the degree of coronary artery stenosis and the occurrence of coronary heart disease to a certain extent.
