Clinical Efficacy and Prognosis of Pediatric Idiopathic Short Stature Treated with the Combination of Strengthening the Spleen and Kidney and Assisting the Rectangular Shape
Objective:To analyze the effect of invigorating the spleen and kidney on children with idiopathic short stature(ISS).Methods:72 children with ISS admitted to our hospital from October 2020 to October 2022 were selected and divided into two groups using a random number table method,with 36 cases in each group.The control group received treatment with recombinant human growth hormone,while the observation group received treatment with invigorating spleen and kidney and assisting rectangles,with con-tinuous medication for 12 months.Compare the clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,human body parameter indicators,glucose metabolism indicators,and adverse reactions between two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.12％(39/41),which was higher than 78.05％(32/41)of the control group;After treatment,the scores of various traditional Chinese medicine syndromes were lower than the control group,The height was(118.94±6.36)cm,higher than the control group's(115.39±5.27)cm,and the weight was(27.95±2.98)kg,heavier than the control group's(25.17±2.49)kg,The growth rate was(9.98±1.25)cm/year,which was faster than the control group's(6.68±1.01)cm/year(P＜0.05);Before and after treatment,the bone age,FBG,and INS of the two groups were comparable(P＞0.05);No adverse reactions occurred during the treatment of both groups.Conclusion:Strengthening the spleen and kidney can alleviate symptoms in children with ISS,promote growth,and have no significant impact on glucose metabolism.It can be widely applied in clinical practice.
