Effectiveness Analysis of Acetylcysteine Granules Combined with Pharmaceutical Intervention in the Treatment of Lower Respiratory Tract Infections in Children
Objective:To explore the efficacy of combining acetylcysteine particles and pharmaceutical intervention in the treatment of pediatric lower respiratory tract infection(LRTI).Methods:Sixty children with LRTI admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to February 2024 were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method. Both groups received routine antiviral treatment. The control group(30 cases)was treated with acetylcysteine granules, while the observation group(30 cases)received pharmaceutical intervention in combination with the control group. Both groups were continuously observed for one week.Compare the clinical efficacy, recovery process, serum inflammatory cytokine markers[C-reactive protein(CRP),white blood cell count(WBC)],and adverse reactions between two groups. Results:The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the time for clinical symptom resolution was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05);Compared with the control group after treatment, the observation group had lower levels of CRP and WBC(P<0.05);The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of acetylcysteine granules and pharmaceutical intervention has a significant therapeutic effect in the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections in children. It can effectively promote clinical symptom recovery, reduce serum inflammatory factor levels, and also improve medication safety.
