Correlation of Serum Anti-Mullerian Hormone with Insulin Resistance and Free Testosterone Index in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome of Childbearing Age
Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH)and insulin resistance(IR)and free testosterone index(FAI)in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)in childbearing age.Methods:75 PCOS patients of childbearing age who were treated in the gynecology department of our hospital from March 2021 to February 2023 were collected as the study group.During the same period,75 healthy women who underwent physical examination in our hospital were collected as control subjects.Serum anti-Muller hormone(AMH),fasting blood glucose(FPG),fasting insulin(FIN),testosterone(T)and sex hormone binding globulin(SHBG)were detected in both groups, and insulin resistance(IR)and free testosterone index(FAI)were calculated according to the formula.Serum levels of AMH,FPG,FIN,IR,T,SHBG and FAI were compared between the two groups. The correlation between serum AMH,IR and FAI was analyzed.Receiver operating curve(ROC)was used to evaluate the value of AMH,IR and FAI in the diagnosis of PCOS.Results:The levels of AMH,FPG,FIN,IR,T and FAI in the study group were higher than those in the control group, while the levels of SHBG were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).In the study group, serum AMH was positively correlated with IR and FAI(r=0.332,0.681,P<0.01).AMH,IR and FAI alone or in combination had certain diagnostic value for PCOS(P<0.05),and the AUC,specificity and sensitivity of AMH,IR and FAI combined diagnosis were 0.987,0.823 and 0.961,respectively,which were higher than that of single diagnosis. Conclusion:Serum AMH is positively correlated with IR and FAI in PCOS patients of childbearing age,and the combined diagnosis efficiency of the above indexes is higher, which can provide a reference for clinical diagnosis of PCOS.
